Q What is co-location?
A Co-location is a service that provides space for one or more customers' telecommunications equipment in the service provider's building. The service provider generally makes available all the facilities required for housing telecommunications and IT infrastructures, including switches, routers and servers for the provision of interconnectivity to telecommunications networks and services.

Q How much do co-location services cost?
A Their are usually two costs invloved. Rental and network connection fees. Rental fees are based on the size of your server and connection fees vary for each provider.


Q What is the difference between dedicated server hosting and co-location?
A They are essentially the same. With dedicated hosting you rent useage of the server from the hosting provider and they own the server. With co-location, the customer owns a server which is connected and managed at the hosting providers facilities.
